I submitted my first graduate application today. Of course this is just the beginning. I still need to get transcripts and test scored sent. I will be taking the math GRE next week. It still seems profound. It still feels good and for that I’d like to thank the professors who agreed to write me a letter of recommendation.
In an email I wrote something like “I have the visual design skills of Stevie Wonder” but, he may have design skills I don’t know about. The truth is I’ve learned a lot about design in the past few years. I thought, if I took the time to learn Photoshop, I could pass for a web designer. An Event Apart humbled me and changed that kind of thinking. Great design is more than just Photoshop. Great design is more than just site branding. I was at the Chicago conference this week. I feel like a dork saying I left inspired but that’s what happened. I truly felt inspired. I will add more to this later.
