Opening Day

Monday, April 13th, 2009

It’s opening day for the Cubs. Their season is just starting and looking good but I’m already in need of a rally. After a few weeks of good new, the pendulum has swung back the other way, hard.

Personal work problems, which recently popped up, were completely overshadowed by big time organization problems: water-pipe-breaking, hospital-flooding sized problems.

At home, I’ve started the biggest home improve project I’ve ever done. I’ve ripped out about a dozen square feet of tile floor from the master bathroom. Water had completely rotted out wood sitting between the buildings original title and the current floor. I’ve only removed about a quarter of the floor and it is becoming more and more solid. The bathroom gets more intimidating every time I set foot in there.

The stress everywhere else has spilled into school as well. I choked on the first test. I’m also way behind on the reading but I’m determined to get on track with the test this week. I’ve taken time off work for it. Hopefully, one day is enough.
