Half Way

Evanston Hospital
Deciding to leave was difficult. Submitting a letter of resignation more than 3 months before I planned to leave seemed absurd; but, things needed to happen so my transition out would be smooth. I want to keep a working relationship here so I was inclined to do what I could.
Now, at the half way point, discussion of replacing me is just beginning. Maybe it was foolish. Maybe I’ve done more harm than good to the working relationship I have with the people around me. My workload already reflects I’m leaving.
Thankfully, I do have one project left to work on. Something to keep me occupied this last month and a half.

modern wing, west viewI’m no art critic and I don’t know the first thing about architecture.

That said; I got to see the new modern wing of the Art Institute of Chicago last Thursday. It’s incredible. It is so shinny and new and somehow feels like it always belonged there. The architect is Renzo Piano. I only bring him up so I can link to his very cool site.

To the people who follow my blog and are annoyed that I’ve written so little lately:
What’s it like to be imaginary?

Edsger Dijkstra - “Computer Science is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes.”
